My interests are in general gastroenterology, hepatology, as well as endoscopy. I perform gastroscopy and colonoscopies. I realized that a young age that I was quite interested in science and biology, and then the ability to actually make a difference to people's lives meant that medicine was a very, very attractive career for me. Mayo is ranked number one in the US for a reason. The ability to share a patient's problem in a multi-disciplinary way with world-class experts means that I can still offer a great opinion in London, but also tap into the best of the US. So I think as health care providers, we should always remember that we're in quite a privileged position when somebody comes to us to try and help them with their medical problem. So the ability to get the right opinion for the right problem to ultimately come up with the right solution, I think is what makes a difference here.
